Sundowners: “American Favorites” with the Plymouth Philharmonic

The Plymouth Philharmonic’s 2022 to 2023 season opens with music that has won the hearts of Americans from coast to coast! The celebration begins with Florence Price, a pioneer in classical music, with her major symphony. George Gershwin, the toast of Broadway, was in his early twenties when his showy jazz concerto, “Rhapsody in Blue” oozed from his fingertips. While this gorgeous piece makes you feel good, “Rach 2” makes you feel everything. Beauty. Passion. Power. Danger. Drama. Despair.
